"A heartfelt, personal story of the gradual awakening of a woman who comes to see that preferring the 'human to the perfect' does not alienate her from authentic spirituality but allows her to live more fully."
Kathleen Norris,
author of The Cloister Walk
Obedience: Obedience meant that we never chose our work or our companions, the place we would live, or any of our daily routine. Everything was assigned to us in great detail by our superiors. Mother Teresa was the Superior General, then there were Regional Superiors, then local superiors. Whatever command any Superior gave, we were to obey as if God had commanded it.
