"A heartfelt, personal story of the gradual awakening of a woman who comes to see that preferring the 'human to the perfect' does not alienate her from authentic spirituality but allows her to live more fully."
Kathleen Norris,
author of The Cloister Walk
After six months of aspirancy, the two of us who remained were sent to Rome for postulancy, where we joined six European postulants who had completed their aspirancy in London. We lived in a tiny convent, adjacent to the Basilica of San Gregorio, within sight of the Coliseum. Our convent had formerly been the chicken house of the San Gregorio monastery.
