Opened me up to getting in touch with my own inner light

This book was hard to put down. I was so interested in the way life was lived within the Catholic religious sect that I found myself transferred there by way of imagination. I come from a Catholic background, being baptized and spending time in a periochial school growing up then even contemplating around age 15 moving away to be a nun as well!

I am drawn to books on varying degrees of spiritual topics and I very much enjoyed this one. It showed so much growth from the start to finish and how the windy turns anyone's life can take can lead them to a very special place. It definitely struck some chords with me as I have taken a path that is very much open to possiblity.

We all struggle to find our meaning and though it does not always turn out the way we planned, sometimes it proves to be something much better than we maybe could have imagined for ourselves. Some of the aspects of this beautifully written memoir were that we struggle to feel loved when we are being of service and taking care of others in a way that fills us up completely. Some conclusions that sort of arose were that we can all hold a very bright light within that can change the world and help others whether we are considered religious or not.

I feel like this opened me up to getting in touch with my own inner light and reignited the flame that has always been there but sometimes needs a little fanning to keep its brightness indeed!

I consider myself a spiritual seeker and have a very open mind as I try to practice compassion and open heartedness on a daily basis for others and myself! Gardening is another favorite past time of mine too. It has opened up so much in way of interest in our natural world and the wonders it holds. I vow to remain in a constant state of awe and resiliency so that I can live life to the absolute fullest and that I can play a part in making the world a better place then I left it as well as witnessing its great beauty!

Thank you Mary and good luck with whatever is next for you:) you are an inspiration for your strength and courage...
